Good morning.

Even as snow still blankets our horizon there is a flurry of activity behind the scenes in preparation for the approaching growing season. Farmers and distributors alike are out ‘shopping’ and gearing up for the ’not too distant’ planting cycle.

Delivery time tables are taken seriously and require careful balancing of raw material supplies and timely packaged product, ready for shipment. That’s what great team work is all about.

Cambrian is ready for 2009.

Fresh Ecklonia Kelp

Good day

It’s such a relief to see all your luggage come tumbling out onto the carousel. The bags made it through customs after the Ecklonia kelp samples were inspected and, at great relief, were found to be acceptable and allowed to pass through.

The results of the South African trip are most encouraging; the samples obtained during our technical processing trials indicate that a number of additional unique Ecklonia based products are within reach. I am looking forward to sharing these samples with our distributors to obtain their feedback on new opportunities.

Good evening.

Please forgive the blogging absence; technology unfortunately does fail occasionally. Connections were down during last week. No complaints though, computers definitely are a step up from courier pigeons any day!

All signs point to a rapidly growing demand for organic fertilizer materials – new opportunities for previously discarded waste organic materials arise. Save your coffee grounds and start a compost pile – the bigger the better. You might be starting a local industry in the process.

Heading home with a bag full of insights and gifts to share with special people. The Cape, South Africa, this time of year, is a pleasure. All that is required is a T shirt and, occasionally, a light windbreaker. Sun glasses mandatory. Spectacular scenery, inhabited by truly warm, friendly folk. Do visit Hermanus one day and, from a high cliff perch, watch whale families frolicking in the shallow waters below. The perfect view, an amazing sight.

Getting home with all luggage in hand will be the perfect finish to what has been an enriching experience. My sincere thanks & gratitude go to those whom offered such warm, welcoming hospitality.

Here we go, 15 hours in the sardine can again.
